It was a fabulous day for this lovely young couple Anna and Matt who chose to elope and get married in Riverhead on the banks of the Rangitopuna River. Having travelled extensively from the UK to Russia, across China, Vietnam, Australia and finally to NewZealand. They decided NewZealand was the easiest place to apply for a marriage licence. I had the pleasure of officiating on a beautiful sunny day, along with the witnesses that I had organised. We all enjoyed this very special moment and it was our privilege to be part of Matt and Anna's wedding.
We celebrated their marriage with a bottle of NewZealand's finest wine and a kiwi Pavlova.
Their Uk wedding pictures will follow after they celebrate with another ceremony with their families in May.

A massive thank you to Alexa for helping us to mark the end of our backpacking adventure in a fantastic style by marrying us at Riverhead. The day was exactly what we dreamed of - intimate, relaxed and outdoors.
Amazingly Alexa managed to create a deeply personal ceremony for us with less than a week's notice. She has a knack of putting people at ease. We met a few days before the wedding and chatted as though we had known each other for years. By the time our wedding day came around, Alexa had crafted a ceremony just for us - it was perfect.
It was a day we'll remember for the rest of our lives. With a bit of luck, one day we'll be able to tell our kids how their parents were once young and cool and how they eloped on the other side of the world!
Anna and Matt, it was a wonderful day for us all, and a privilege to officiate at your NZ wedding.
