Auckland Domain Wedding

The sun shone beautifully on this lovely couple, Nolan and Kavishi as they took their vows of marriage on Waitangi day in the Auckland Domain.

What a wonderful spot they chose admist the grand old mature trees and gardens. Although the park was well patronised it was a very intimate unique setting to take their vows of marriage.

Standing under the shade of a very large and beautiful tree they couldn't have looked happier.

I felt  honoured to share their  lovely spread of traditional Sri Lankan food, lovingly prepared by
by Lathifar, Nolan's  mother . It was all very delicious !

Congratulations to you both, may you have a wonderful future together.  Alexa xx

Gracehill Vineyard Estate

2020 has been a very uncertain  year for us in  New Zealand; along with folk living in the rest of the world affected by the Covid 19 pandemic.  For couples trying to plan their wedding, along with wedding venues and everyone else in the industry it has been a very emotional, uncertain and frustrating time.  Not knowing what date would be totally free from the restrictions of lock down,   it was a tricky situation trying to settle on a date.

Vinnie and Danielle were one of these couples who rode the waves of the levels of lock down not knowing if their planned wedding was going to be cancelled or not!

They were indeed one of the fortunate couples when the restriction was lifted and a wedding of 100 guests could be held.

Held at the picturesque Gracehill Vineyard Estate it was indeed a beautiful wedding and the smiles on their faces showed how happy they were. They both looked great in their wedding attire along with their bridal group.

It was a pleasure to officiate and share this memorable occasion with them both and also the rest of their family and guests.

Best wishes to you both for a great future together.  Alexa xx

Markovina Vineyard Estate Auckland

Markovina Vineyard Estate has such beautiful grounds and indoor facilities to host a wedding.
Craig and Marissa very fortunate to enjoy a beautiful sunny day at the end of June to celebrate their marriage.  With the cosy indoor seated area and a lovely warm fire the guests could still enjoy the  indoor outdoor flow.
It was a beautiful wedding and the photos tell the story of this couple's happy day.

Kiwi Valley Farm Yard Wedding.

The clouds dispersed and the sun came out for Kylie and Nigel as they took their vows in the grounds of the Kiwi Valley Farmyard  in Valley Road Henderson.
The lovely colours brightened up the winters day, like wise their smiles said it all.
It was a small intimate wedding for this lovely couple and the guests enjoyed feeding the animals after the ceremony.
All the best to you both, it was a lovely afternoon and a privilege to officiate.

Wedding Music : Auckland

Music  sets the mood and enriches the ceremony.
Today I was delighted to hear the beautiful music played on the harp by the lovely Lana Breed.
I have met Lana playing at Weddings, Funerals, and  Memorial Services that I have officiated at.  Her music is suitable for most occassions and she is as lovely as her music.

Muriwai Beach Wedding: Elopement

Coming from Canada it was a simple process to be married in New Zealand without the expense of a larger wedding at home.
Orielle and Derek chose Muriwai Beach for their simple but meaningful ceremony.
It was certainly very windy as this lovely couple took their vows in the shelter of a New Zealand flax bush on the edge of a sand dune.
Marriages can be easily be arranged in New Zealand at reasonably short notice and it was my pleasure to be part of this important milestone in this couple's life.
All the best for a wonderful future together. ... Alexa.

This be the prayer we breathe for you today:
When you have reached the summit of life's hill'May it be possible for you to say,
Married long years, but we are lovers still. ... ANON.
