Wedding Dresses: Beautiful Auckland weddings.

Every bride looks wonderful in her wedding dress.  There are so many styles to choose from it must be a mind boggling decision.  I often think no matter what style dress a bride wears they always look beautiful and radiant.  Formal wedding groups look fabulous as they colour cordinate their colours with the guy's suits and ties blending in to match the bridesmaid's dresses and flowers. The trend to day with bridesmaid's dresses seems to be knee length which is so practical for evening wear after the wedding is over.  Brides still choose the formal long gown which is extremely romantic. Here are a few more examples of beautiful designs on these beautiful people.

New Zealand Beach Weddings: West Auckland Beaches.

Weddings held at the beautiful beaches around New Zealand are becoming very popular. I love officating any where outdoors, although the spectacular beaches around Auckland are some of my favourite spots.  Frequently couples may choose a West Auckland vineyard to celebrate their marriage although they often go to the local beaches to have their photographs taken. Our summers can be very hot so it is always wise to find a place that also offers some shade for the guests.  I always recommend that couples do have an alternative venue as a back up as Auckland weather sometimes surprises us with showers that come from "out of the blue!"

Ascension Vineyard Estate: A Romantic Wedding

Guests from many countries came to celebrate this special day along with colleagues from Auckland City Hospital.  Louisa and Ruchith looked fabulous along with their six bridesmaids and their partners.
They chose the Ascension Estate Matakana for their wedding venue. http://www.ascensionvineyard.co.nz/
It was a picturesque wedding, Lousia looked amazing as did her bridesmaids and many of the guests wore beautifully coloured sari's.
Best wishes Louisa and Ruchith, I hear that life is treating you well. ...Alexa xx

One Tree Hill Domain : Auckland Wedding

One Tree Hill  Domain was the venue for Angela and Kirit's wedding photos.
This couple planned their wedding from London and arrived back in Auckland with enough time to have a rehearsal a few days before. They have some stunning photos of themselves with the back drop of this beautiful New Zealand scenery in the middle of the Auckland city. Angela and Kirit chose to have their ceremony in the grounds of the wedding venue - Sorrento -One Tree Hill Domain.  http://www.sorrento.co.nz/
Best wishes to you both, I hope life is treating you well in the U.K....Alexa x

"Love is the only game where two can play and both win".

Hot Air Balloon Wedding. West Auckland.

A romantic intimate wedding for Dixie, Nick and their guests, although small in number, eight of us took to the skies early one morning in this beautiful hot air balloon. It was a tranquil, scenic journey as the balloon slowly glided over the farmlands. Admist the curious stares from the animals, the occassional toot of car horns, and the roar of the gas burner, this couple took their vows. The event would not have been complete without the popping of corks at the champagne breakfast that followed in a paddock of one of the local farms in West Auckland.

It was a memorable morning Dixie and Nick and I am sure that you too have some wonderful photos...Alexa xx

Top Hat & Tails: Tauranga Wedding.

Top hat and tails completed this wedding of Angela and Anton. It was held in the beautiful grounds of Angela's parents home overlooking an inlet of the Tauranga harbour. As they were both living in Dubai while organising their wedding, most of their planning was done with the use of skype.
It was a pleasure to design and deliver a ceremony for this happy couple.
Congratulations Angela and Anton, I hear life is treating you well. Alexa xx

Morris Dancers: Mt Victoria Wedding, Devonport.

A Scottish piper welcomed the bride and Morris dancers performed then later saluted this married couple, Nick and Clare as they departed from the scenic sight where they took their nuptials on Mt Victoria, over looking the beautiful Waitemata Harbour.
As they were members of a folk music club it seemed fitting to celebrate their marriage outside an old bunker in the mountain. The view from the top was amazing on a gorgeous sunny day with the harbour dotted with yachts and small pleasure boats. Best wishes Nick and Clare, It was and honour to officiate. Alexa x x
