Auckland Baby Naming Ceremonies, Celebrant Alexa Bartlett

Welcome to you !
Who came through the door of the soul...
You are a radiant dreamer..
Bless this child with:
True love, angels, rainbows and surprises
Amazing faith and pure laughter...
You're so beautiful and everybody loves you!
You are so deeply wanted.
We're so glad you're here.
Bless you.
How do you like earth?
A glorious welcome to this spirit born.  ....SARK.

Namegivings  are a rite of passage which marks a new arrival into a family. Traditional christenings were held and are still held in churches to celebrate the arrival and bless a child.
Celebrants offer namegivings to families as a welcome into the world.  Family relationships are deepened and parents become fully aware of their responsibilities.  The child may be blessed and God Parents or Mentors can be chosen.  The ceremony is an excellent occassion for families to express their culture and celebrate the birth of their child.

These little darlings have brought much joy into the lives of those parents, grandparents and all those who know them.

" A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on".....Carl Sandburg.

This delightful wee boy Louis smiled through out his naming ceremony and looked delightful in  the gown he wore which had been worn throughout the generations for over 100 years.

A Mothers Wish

I hope one day my child looks back on today
And sees a mother who had time to play
There will be years for cleaning and cooking
But children grow up when they are not looking.
Tomorrow I'll do all the chores you can mention
But today, my baby needs time and attention.
So settle down cobwebs: dust go to sleep.
I'm cuddling my baby, and babies don't keep.

Matakana Church Wedding, in the country.

In a valley surrounded by the beautiful countryside proudly supporting the golden autumn leaves of the grapevines and the lush pastures, is the quaintly restored St. Andrew's Church at Matakana.
This was the venue chosen for Alan and Norri's wedding which  was a convenient location for guests  from Whangarei and  Auckland to gather.  It was a tranquil setting and a pleasure to officiate for this delightful couple and share some time with their families and friends. The reception was held in the nearby Ascension Vineyard Restaurant.

Norri looked stunning in her beautiful silk dress and was escorted by her bridesmaids in their rich plum coloured dresses and the  flower girls in white tulle.

All the best Norri and Alan, I hope that your day was everything that you dreamed it would be.

I sure did enjoy officiating.  Best wishes for a great future.....  Alexa xx

Winter Wedding to warm your hearts: Whenuapai , Auckland

Who would have thought it was the middle of winter! This winter wedding was such a warm and happy ocassion on a beautiful mild  June day that we almost forgot it was winter.
Kelly and Nathan chose "Brigham" for their ceremony and reception.   Escorted by a happy bridal party the smiles on their faces showed Kelly and Nathan just how much they all enjoyed the ocassion.

Kelly looked stunning with her champange coloured lace and satin dress  and a beautiful short veil which complimented her lovely blond curly hair.   Nathan looked great with his straw coloured trousers and dark braces, pale lemon shirt and completed his look with a rather cute cap.
The rest of the bridal party looked fabulous as they joined in with the festivities.

Onetangi Beach Wedding,Waiheke Island, NZ

This happy couple were all smiles as the weather cleared to allow them to celebrate their wedding on Onetangi beach on Waiheke Island. It was a romantic location where they chose to exchange their vows under a beautiful old pohutukawa tree.  Although it was a little breezy it was a warm day and in typical kiwi style they decided to treat all their guests with a magnum icecream after the ceremony. Their reception was held nearby at The Dunes www.theduneswaiheke.co.nz/   with it's beautiful stunning beach front location.   All the best Julie and Daniel, it was a pleasure to officiate.  Alexa xxx

World traveller's wed at Auckland beach.

A perfect summer's day for this couple who celebrated their vows in a small intimate setting at the Windross Restaurant at the Cockle Bay Beach. The wedding was translated into Japanese as a mark of respect for  family members who had travelled to New Zealand for this special celebration.
It was a picturesque setting where they had their photos taken under a pohutukawa tree on the beach front.
